BioinfoGRID Session at EGEE'07
Related Projects track of the EGEE07 Conference
Europe Congress Center, Bupdapest, Hungary
Thursday 04 October 2007
11:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 15:30
Room: Nizza
The BioinfoGRID session at the EGEE '07 conference will discuss the leading applications and results achieved in the framework of the Bioinformatics Grid Application for life science European project. The BioinfoGRID programme will cover the most contemporary uncharted fields of investigation in biological and medical research. The project will show the main results on applications for distributed microarray technology, for gene expression studies, for gene data mining, for analysis of cDNA data, for Phylogenetics analysis, for distributed database access, for protein functional analysis and for performing complex simulations for System Biology applications based on the EGEE Grid infrastructure. An important result accomplished within the BioinfoGRID project is the contribution to the WISDOM initiative for screening of a large set of compounds against the Avian Flu Neuraminidase of H5N1 influenza A virus and Malaria will also be presented.
Audience: Biomedical, Bioinformatics.
